Leaders are the same... (1)

Maruti Suzuki and Hero Honda, both companies are totally different but according to me they are very similar to each other. Let me explain this...

1) Leaders- Both industries are lead by these JV's i.e. Joint Ventures of Hero Honda and Maruti Suzuki.

2)Rivals- Both leaders have desi rivals against them and they both are far behind because of quality issues.Hero Honda's rival is Bajaj, Maruti Suzuki's rival is Tata.

3)Rivals 2- They both have another desi rival which is ahead of them in another segment. (I think) Hero Honda's desi rival is TVS which leads scooty segment and Maruti Suzuki's desi rival is Mahindra & Mahindra which leads SUV segment by scorpio.

4)Honda- This company is the common competitor for both.

5)Cross Competitions- Mahindra and Mahindra has entered in two wheeler segment by acquiring Kinetic motors and Bajaj is soon going to launch cheap four wheeler with the help of Renault-Nissan.

6)Survival- Their first desi rivals are surviving in the industry by many forms(models) of only one product. Bajaj is surviving by pulsar 150,180,200 and 220 and recently launched xcd 135 which bajaj says is inspired by pulsar. Tata is surviving by Indica, Xeta, Indigo, Marina, CS, and the recently launched Indica Vista.

7)Foreign Competitions- Both are badly hit by foreign competitions. Hero Honda by Yamaha and Honda,Maruti Suzuki by Hyundai and Honda.

8)Support- Both are known for their widely spread customer support and service centers.

8) Last Name- Maruti Suzuki has the name Suzuki which is a competitor of Hero Honda, and Hero Honda has the name Honda which is a competitor of Maruti Suzuki. ;-)

Apart from this, they both have major differences-
New Launches- Hero Honda is somewhat or very lazy in launching new models, this company believes in upgrading its existing models but Maruti Suzuki constantly launches super cool new models.

Value for money- Maruti Suzuki provides value for money for its cars, whereas Hero Honda makes a fool out of people by selling small 100cc bikes for a whooping 45-47,000 Rs. More to come...
