Ride Worst Class (Suzuki Slingshot)

Another Disaster... the maker of a legendry bike Hayabusa does not understands Indian market. thats why its churning out crap and junk products time after time. Look at the Zeus, Heat, Gs150r(thats somewhat ok) and now Slingshot. This bike looks just fugly and specs are not something to boast of...
Lets come to the point... Just how ridiculous the bike is, same goes for its TV-commercial. I was just (some of u guys too) f#*ked up by watching this ad again and again. They are not taking this ad off-air. This ad is so bad that it brought me out of my hibernation.
Its starts with a boy saying,"Chachu aapki O-suzuki slingshot... and then his chachu replies O-suzuki Slingshot??? Yes, out expression is same at that point... Than he takes it out for a ride and wherever he goes everybody looks at him or this shit in Yellow colour(massive pun intended). And yes everybody says O-suzuki slingshot. I think they are trying to tell people how the name of its bike is pronounced. And at last the tagline of this bike is "Ride World Class". What the f#@k... You call this horse shit "World Class"? No, its "Worst Class". Its not even cattle class. Its cattle-shit clas.
C'mon Suzuki, don't destroy your reputation by making such disaster product(s) and ad(s). We know you can do much better than that...

- My views on new Karizma ZMR -

CONSUMER BEING FOOLED BY THIS COMPANY CONTINUES...

Many bike enthusiasts were waiting for this bike. Everybody was Hoping for a blast from Hero Honda(HH) but as usual, it failed to do that. This company should stop borrowing technology or should I say engines from Honda and stop producing bikes above 125cc. Another crap from HH and it has done the same thing that it can do best. Yes, cosmetic changes or should I say decorating a bike from here and there and NO upgrade in engine.
This bike even has its Punch-line "Above All"... what the f*#k???

We can call this bike Karizma-Fi...coz it has PGM-Fi technology from Honda(obviously). Recently was a big flop in Glamour.

With all type of sensors(that are practically of no use) and rear disc brake, borrowed or should I say 'copied' pearl white paint scheme and golden front shock absorbers from RTR 180 , headlight looks like suzuki GS150R (atleast to me). front fairing (that looks more like a cheap aftermarket custom job) and ZMR looks like Hayabusa's, the rear portion same as Karizma-R and Tail light from CBZ-Xtreme. This bike looks XTREMELY ugly and out of proportion.
THE ONLY UNIQUE thing which I found is its Digital speedo...looks very cool and HH's hard work shows in it with RTMI (Racing Throttle Mission Impossible)...

For those of you who wants to say that it has increased 0.9 bhp from the previous karizma, so let me tell you that if you fit PGM-Fi in a 7bhp machine it will be able to produce 7.5 bhp easily.

So this new bike will not be able to change anything for HH and for others. Other bike manufacturers can relax now and don't have to worry about this disaster. This bike is not gonna fetch big money for Hero honda.

All and all, if you want to spent above 1 Lac for this Junk, don't u dare to do that. You can get 17.3 bhp power,Rear Disc brakes, white colour scheme and golden coloured shock absorbers in RTR 180, Better Looks and Wider tyres in Fazer, 21 Bhp power, rear disc in Pulsar 220 DTS-i (also with Fi), International Brand, Oil cooled engine, Better looks and Rear Disc brakes from Yamaha R15, Better choice for touring, oil cooled engine from Avenger 200 Dts-i, A bigger engine (more cc), more respect and attention from Royal Enfield Bullet.

Hope you will Make the right choice...

Drove us crazy, made us Mad !!! (Suzuki GS 150 R)

I was just watching TV last week and than I came across this ad. Yeah, its been here for quite a while and I was thinking of writing about it from the very first day I saw it but I forgot about this ad. Now this time I decided to blabber about the ad of Suzuki GS150-R.
But let us know about the company first. Suzuki is here in India for quite a long time. For those of you who don't know about it; Yes, its true. It had a kind of Joint venture with the TVS company. But its pretty hard to survive like Hero Honda and be the market leader. Thats why TVS-Suzuki and Kawasaki-Bajaj failed.

Now about the ad. Anybody remember the ad "No problem" of suzuki samurai??? It was one of my favorite ads and I still remember it. Since Suzuki Re-entered in the market, this company is not doing any good for itself as well as for consumers. If you remember the ad of Zeus, all I remember about the ad is that was a Crap ad. Just following it, comes another rubbish ad from Suzuki.

The ad start with a girl saying to the rider "Drive me Crazy". And rider tries to do that or somewhat actually manages to do that with this bike. First of all, emphasis on looks has been given on this bike. But this bike is a mixture of all the other bike of this segment. And what is the Sixth gear doing in a 150cc bike with 13.8 bhp which is nearly lowest in the segment. In the end of this ad, some drums from the ongoing truck "accidentally" fall downs and comes in front of the bike but Rider stops the bike with the help of front disc brake and both of the rider and pillion manages to miss those drums. Not even a single drum touches any one of them and not even the bike. And the "overjoyed lady" says in the end "once more". And the shit ends.
The bike is as rubbish as the ad and its a commuter-tourer bike. So it might be liked by the executives but I havent seen more that 10 GS150-R on road. Maybe this explains that the bike as well as the ad of it is a Big Flop and fails to drive us crazy, rather makes us crazy enough to buy another bike.

One Day @ TVS Dealer !!!

[6th July 2009]
I wanna share this incident with u guys. When I went to book my ride...

When I entered the TVS showroom, A guy named Manish welcomed me. I was in a very good mood, and I knew almost everything about Apache 180, thanx to xBhp owners of the bike. So i decided to behave like a newbie biker (who don't know anything about the bikes) and have some fun. Here's the short conversation between me and the sales guy (say Manish).

Me- (Indicating towards Orange Apache160-Fi) So this is the newly launched 180.
Manish- No sir, this bike has been launched few months ago, Its the Fi version of 160.
Me- Fi???
Manish- Sir that means Fuel Injection. No carb but more power and better fuel efficiency.
Me- (I was standing just next to the Black Apache 180) Whatever! Where is the 180? (while looking at the Grey Apache 160)
Manish- Sir, just next to u is Apache 180. (smiling)
Me- Oh, So this is the bike? It looks same as the 160. Whats new in it? (started to look at the TVS star city)
Manish- Sir this bike has tubeless tyres, it has 17.3BHP that gives more mileage (I couldn't stop my smile when he said that ) And Its length has been increased. It also has rear disc brake like the Fi.
Me- (indicating towards split grab rail) Is this broken???
Manish- (I can't explain the look of his face at that time) No sir, it is designed in this way. it is more convenient for the pillion.
Me- Oh I see. ( than exclaimed with joy looking excited) Wow, And it also has newly designed racing stripes too. Very nice..
Manish- (confused) huh? oh yes sir. same on the wheels too...

Manish didn't go with me for a test ride, he sent some one else named Suresh. He wasn't sure if he will be back in one piece with me. Ripped and enjoyed the 180 on the streets and roads with traffic,(no empty road or highway nearby) Suresh was scared a bit but when we reached the showroom he told me "Bhaiya, bike achhi chalate ho". I said thanx and booked the bike. Manish told me that White will take about 10-15 days but grey and black are available. I told him I can wait for that. And came back to my place with a "Menacing" smile on my face. More to come...

Stop @ Nothing but Live The Moment (Maruti Suzuki A-Star & Ritz)

Maruti has given us some of the coolest cars and ads also. For example, very first ad of Swift and the teaser too. And also the second ad of SX4 with the truck. But the ads of newly launched cars; A-Star and Ritz are useless. They describe nothing about the product.

In the ad of A-star, Farhan Akhtar is all over the car and the ad. The only thing we come to know about the car is its mileage. In the next scene Farhan is rocking with his band with the car next to him on the stage. Yes the car looks cute but the ad should have covered all the aspects about the car.

The ad of Ritz is even more weird than its name. In this ad you can see the car moving in the city for no reason, just roaming here and there. And camera is showing the car from all of the angles. In my personal opinion, this car looks futuristic, awesome, cool and out of this world from behind BUT its just opposite from the front. Its too bland and very simple or should I say Boring !!!

I've no question about the Maruti Suzuki products and I know they are the market leader (they deserve it) but they should've worked more on the ads. I think they are targetting youth to sell them both of these cars. A-Star and Ritz both appeal to the youth but the ads doesn't. Even Ritz is based on the Swift platform, so the ad should also inspired from the ad of Swift. Whereas, In the A-star ad ; the tag line of the car is Stop @ nothing but at the end of the ad, the car stops at the rock concert ;-)

Fastest Indian !!! (Bajaj Pulsar 220 dtsi)

No way, I am not gonna post this. I don't wanna post it. Damn, I have to. Guys this time its one of my favorite, Bajaj. Yes they have given some awesome ads, pulsarmania (I never miss a chance to include this word) and others. But also some crap ads, one of them was the ad of platina with Jhalak Dikhlaja song(very old one if u remember). But recently they launched New Pulsar220 Dtsi. So i was thinking about the ad, what new and thrilling ad we'll see for this amazing and very well priced bike. But it was a let down.

Talking about the ad, I thing its some kind of prelude or short preview of this bike. They will come up with more of the bike. Because also in a new ad of Pulsar180, the bike never moves from its place. Just like in this ad it moves or i should say disappears very fast. The ad starts with a guy kind of robbing the bank. And in another shot we see police approaching very fast to that bank with their Cars, Horses and helicopters. This guy is cool and calm and robs the bank in no hurry. He even gives some money to the boy who is sitting there with a smile.

But from here,"it" starts. He walks through the door and slowly to his bike. Cops also reach there with cars and all. And this guy has no worries and it sits on the bike and starts the bike. Then comes the text saying "Fastest Indian". And cops look disappointed. Then in a shot from above that guy is nowhere to be found. They mean to say that the New P220 is that fast that it can disappear like that. Ok but they should have told us about the more than that. At least whole bike, mind u in this ad u can't even see the whole bike. Just the rear portion with side view or lil more than that. Even if they are saying the guy is fastest Indian, but the guy doesn't look like so. Even the place seems to be inspired from wild wild west movies.

I am not saying that this ad is crap, although idea is good but they should've worked more on it. Like when the biker disappears they should've left some smoke on the screen. Probably they didn't wanna show that this machine have some emission problems like the previous version. Anyway, I and many of you guys expected more than that for the pulsar220. But this time Bajaj disappointed us.

F#*k It,Shoot It,Forget It !!! (Hero Honda Splendour NXG)

Whenever I think of writing a review on some other ad, Hero Honda manages to grab his place by making another disastrous ad. Every time guys, every time. But I promise, in my next review there will be some other company in place of Hero Honda.

So let’s get started. This ad claims that Hero Honda bikes follow one rule- Fill it, Shut it, Forget it. Whenever I think of a HH bike, only third one come to my mind i.e. Forget it. In this ad, Splendour NXG is used but u can’t hear its name anywhere in this whole commercial ad. This ad is the perfect example of the height of stupidity and most important, PRACTALITY.

In this ad, a guy receives a msg on his cellphone that says Good Night from his GF. So to show his “squeeze” how much he loves her, he rides his bike (Yes, the NXG, to impress a girl?) to her home. To say what? Good Night!!! How romantic??? Romantic my ASS… The girl replies, “Itni door se”??? And than the moron says, “Reply toh karna hi tha”. Shithead, u have money for the petrol not for the SMS? According to the ad, it was quite far and it would’ve cost him petrol worth 5 Rs at least. It’s a small amout but replying by SMS is way more cheaper than that. And this thing is not over yet. He reaches his home and just when he sits, receives another msg saying Sweet Dreams. Than this asshole flaunts his smile while tossing his keys in his hand and rides again to…(u know where). Either the guy is rich or he owns a petrol pump. But according to the bike he has, I don't think so.

Goddamn HH guys, what the hell u are doing out there. Recession has done such thing to you that u all are completely out of your minds. Where others are making no nonsense ads than why are u making ads that are Non sense. For example, look at the new TVS Scooty Ad featuring Sania Mirza, it makes a lil bit sense sans Karizma –ish Style mud splashing on the face of one of the guy. And the last line of the ad is extremely funny. So while others are working hard (which I think) than HH should do the same. I am now tired of repeating my words again and again. Stop stop stop making crap ads otherwise in place of Fill it, shut it, forget it, people will say this---

F#*K IT, SHOOT IT, FORGET IT!!!
